16 Productivity-Enhancing Websites
Many companies place tight restrictions on internet usage for fear of unproductive behavior. While I believe the issue lies more with the employee than with the internet, I understand the need for restrictions.
Word of warning: Try not to go overboard…some websites can actually help productivity. For example, here’s a list of 16 productivity-enhancing websites that I found on PCWorld.com. While I don't agree that all of them are “productivity-enhancing”, there are a few nice sites there.
Another idea for enhancing productivity via the web is with a personalized start page, like iGoogle or Netvibes. I place all the important data, email, and news I need to see in my personalized start page so I can see everything at once. Saves me from accessing multiple sites every day.
Additionally, you can even put your favorite m-Power charts, data, and information in your start pages as widgets. Check out this example using iGoogle. Use these login credentials:
