5 new rules of productivity
Forget everything you know about productivity. This article on positivesharing.com really challenges our preconceived notions of what is (and isn’t) productive. An interesting and thought-provoking article, though I don’t believe that everything mentioned is entirely feasible.
For example, the points about missing deadlines if you don’t feel like working on a project made me scratch my head. In most companies these days, missing deadlines is not an option. If you consistently miss deadlines, you will be replaced.
However, if you’re regularly given unrealistic deadlines, that’s a different story. You have two options. First, make your company leaders aware that your deadlines are not realistic. Second, if management won’t budge, find a more productive way to work, like this company did.
